Payroll Savings

Managing your money

Join our Payroll Saving scheme – the simplest way to start saving regularly.

Payroll savings is a benefit we offer to employers and their employees within our common bond, allowing safe, manageable savings through your payslip. Savings are deducted at source and so you know exactly what you have to spend at the beginning of each month.

Saving directly from your salary or stipend has been proved to be the simplest and most painless way to build up a nest egg or a rainy-day fund to meet sudden expenses or for that unforgettable event. By being a member of Churches Mutual Credit Union, you will gain all the benefits of membership, including access to our ethical and affordable loans.

Churches Mutual works with several employers across all our denominational partners, to improve their employees’ wellbeing through easy access to simple secure savings and affordable loans. A full list is below.

We are adding employers all the time and have room for more. If your employer is not signed up to this service, you can pass on our details and ask if it is something they may consider.

Why Churches Mutual?

We have accounts designed for the long term investor looking to secure the future or for regular instalment savers seeking to put money away for a rainy day or to build up a nest egg.

Like many credit unions we pay a dividend on our savings accounts. There is more information about dividends in the FAQs

Churches Mutual Credit Union is overseen by the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority and your savings are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme for complete peace of mind.

Rob’s Story

I have enjoyed a very positive relationship with Churches Mutual Credit Union for the last 7 years. When I joined as a regular saver, I wanted the opportunity to contribute
to an ethical organisation that shows real concern for the needs of its members. Knowing that the organisation helps people in challenging circumstances is very
important to me. The mutuality of the organisation is also instrumental for me.

Unlike other personal savings, I view the savings with Churches Mutual as part of my Giving to help Church Ministers and Church workers in financial need, rather than an
investment.

The way that the account is administered is very professional. If I need to draw out any money from my account, there has never been an issue and the money is transferred very quickly.

I would recommend Churches Mutual wholeheartedly.
